Im thinking of making an account on it and im wondering if anyone else has one or wants to make one and play with me? Its similar to dota which im awful at (ive played about 3 games though) but want to try it since theres a tutorial on how to play.

League of legends it's fine to be awful at, as they have match making system to put you against people your own skill, after your first 3-10 games you should be against people your skill level.

^ Yeah, ive had a few games with ashe now and read a guide and ive came top two or three times. But im clueless on how to play with anyone but Ashe, is there any other simple characters?

Your first several matches or so might pair you against smurfs (experienced players on new accounts), but you should settle in amongst other new players soon enough. If you're not experienced with DotA-style games, there's more to learn than a guide's going to teach you and a lot of it is just getting your head in the game. All the myriad details come later.

For what it's worth, this has always been a favorite place for guides. Under "general" on the listings at the bottom there should be a lot of guides talking about gameplay instead of specific champions.

SoloMid is indeed the best place for guides by top players.

Garen, Master Yi, Tryndamere and Nunu.

All very simple characters, all very useful characters.
