My hosting company has a link to smartftp.com and says it is good and free but in the license agreement it says that I can only use the software for free during an 'evaluation period'. After that I must pay a license fee. Anyone know smartftp? What do you use? |

Two good ones that work on nearly any OS are FileZilla and FireFTP. FireFTP is only good if you're using Firefox though, since it's an add-on.

FileZilla is my favorite completely free FTP client. I've been using it for years on Windows XP without problem. It's stable, full-featured and easy to use.
