Can anyone recommend a good and free one?

My hosting company has a link to smartftp.com and says it is good and free but in the license agreement it says that I can only use the software for free during an 'evaluation period'. After that I must pay a license fee.

Anyone know smartftp? What do you use?

Two good ones that work on nearly any OS are FileZilla and FireFTP. FireFTP is only good if you're using Firefox though, since it's an add-on.

FileZilla is my favorite completely free FTP client. I've been using it for years on Windows XP without problem. It's stable, full-featured and easy to use.
