Default Does the Nintendo Wii actually take skill...

...or are you just kinda going through the motions of the game?

It looks like fun, but I like that long, slow process of mastering a new system.

Would you recommend the Wii?

Ya for sure, it is a great system and fun to use. It does take some practice getting the motions down. If your bowling and you dont do the correct motion or twist the controller you can get a gutter ball.

It depends on the game really, not every Wii game has motion controls.

I tried playing the boxing game against my little cousin, and she won every time because she would just hop on the spot and flail her arms about with the Wii remote and the boxer guy would go nuts.

It's fun but does take a bit to get used to. Shooting games are a blast though (IMO) :P

keep in mind a lot of the games suck, family friendly crap, terrible graphics and controls, etc.

The Wii version of Resident Evil 4 was really fun (I've played the gamecube version). It was easier than other ports but more fluent.

Wii =/= Wii Sports! There are challenging games.
