Default Computer won't turn on..

Last night, my computer froze so I couldn't shut it down properly.
I decided to press the reset button but instead of rebooting itself, the computer just shut off and hasn't come back on since.
When I press the power button, nothing happens.
There is also a on/off switch on the back of my computer that you need to turn on before pressing the power button, and when I switch it to On, the fan spins and the lights on the front of my computer come on...for literally, a fraction of a second.
Can it be the power supply, if it's still getting power for even that fraction of a second? Or is it something else? Any help will be appreciated.

- Take out the CMOS battery on the motherboard and leave it out for a couple of minutes so it'll reset the bios.
- There isn't a burning smell coming from your PSU is there?
- Any power surges or anything along those line happen recently?
- As a last resort you can buy a replacement http://www.newegg.com/Store/Category...Power-Supplies
- Buying a UPS can also help protect the innards of your computer, so far the one I've owned has saved my $1000+ computer from being fried. http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCateg...ry=72&name=UPS

Thanks for the advice.
I took the CMOS battery out, waited and put it back in. It didn't fix it, but now when I flip the switch on the power supply, the fan/lights don't do anything, at all...until I press the power button on the front, then the lights blink once but that's it. Fan doesn't move at all.
I have a computer at my parents house that no one uses so I'm going to switch the power supply box from that into mine, and see what happens.
It's weird that the computer is my life but I hate spending money on it. I should just get a new one.
Oh, and no burning smell and no power surges that I know about.
