Default Burning DVDs?

Hey, I'm just looking for something to make exact copies of DVDs...

I breifly looked into DVD recorders and burners but they seem to only record television and VHS tapes and burn files to be played on DVD players

...maybe I overlooked something, but I could have sworn you can replicate DVDs

Look for the freeware programs DVD Shrink and DVD Decryptor. If I was at home right now I could get ya the links.. I can post em when I get home. That'll shrink dvds down so they'll fit on one dvd and burn em for ya.. no matter if there's security scramblers on em

Yea it's no more but ya can still find it online.. http://www.riphelp.com/downloads/dvddec.html

Dvd Shrink..
http://www.dvdshrink.org/what.html

If you have a dvd burner on yr comp then these will work just duckie. Any actual dvd copier ya can buy won't let ya copy official lisenced dvds because of the scramblers.

Whats netflix? Is it some kind of online rental or something?

My original plan was to rent from hollywood video then return them the same day for a 1$ back, but maybe your plan is better.

Yea netflix is an online rental and it's so much cheaper than Hollywood or Blockbuster. I'm on the $15 a month plan and I get 2 dvds at a time. They're really fast with the shipping so I've been getting 4-6 a week

I use newsgroups rather then rent. There is DVD copier machines that can mass re-produce dvd's. They cost anywhere from $600-15,000. Obviously its something not affordable for the average DVD watcher. So IMO, the hardware option isn't feasible. You can manually do it of course via ripping the DVD with software already mentioned and then burning it with something like Nero.

It's free shipping. The lil envelope they send it in is also the return envelope. Plus they have pretty much any movie you can think of
