So I can understand why someone used to Windows would buy Windows. And on desktops and laptops above the extreme low end, I'll agree that Windows is actually cheaper than Linux (I end up buying Windows machines and just erasing Windows from them to save money, but that's risky since the hardware isn't always fully compatible).

Both the old celeron and pentium processors are faster than that ARM processor. How are you running all those apps? That is a form of masochism.
Windows and Linux has about the same costs. You can actually get an atom based MID that is faster and runs Windows. |
