What about those who are both ... or neither!

Uhg, I've been witness to some pretty awful MAC/PC battles...

They're both computers, they both do the same thing... It's just a matter of preference and mostly style.

I've switched to MAC after getting frustrated with the troubles I had on Vista. I find MAC suits my lifestyle perfectly fine, I'm very happy with it.

The customization of PC is definitely a plus. I may build myself a wicked PC gaming rig in the future.

Always have been and probably always will be a PC. I don't like change much, that's why I'm still running XP too as it does just what I need .

Definitely a PC. I'm building a new gaming rig right now. Mac is horrible for games, so I'd never switch to it, even though it's excellent.

A PC is not an operating system. A PC can run Windows, MacOS, Linux, BSD, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, Haiku, OS/2, NetWare, FreeDOS, or whatever.

True, but a PC with strict limitations as to what hardware upgrades you can do and what software/OS you can run. Personally, the superior hardware, endless possibilities of custom looks, and software flexibility of a build-your-own-PC (and all that for less money) make it a no-brainer.

A mac doesn't limit what OS or software you can run any more than a windows computer -- less, really, since you can run MacOS stuff on it. Macs run MacOS, Linux, Windows, BSD, etc. I don't like macs either, but get your criticisms up to date.

Windows limits what hardware you can use, since it's only available for x86, and only supported on relatively fast hardware. You can't, for example, put Windows on my trusty ARM-based nokia 770 internet tablet -- only linux and probably a few other unixes.

I wouldn't mind trying out OSX (or whatever incarnation they're on now) but I really don't feel like spending $1000+ on their hardware to find out I don't like it. LiveCD please?

Wrong. A MAC has a EFI chip rather than a BIOS. You need bootcamp to emulate the bios to run windows. Mobile windows does run on non-x86 hardware. Windows has a variety of hardware you can use but Linux is good for devices no one uses. Why run a slow obsolete ARM processor when you can run a Core 2 ulv Tablet?

It's called OSX86.

Though it isn't exactly 'easy' to install and there are some slight issues with certain hardware configurations. And it will just not work with other hardware.

I am a Linux, but I also use OS X for iTunes (for my iPod) and iCal.

Both aren't as good as they could be.

If what you say is true then I appologize to anyone who read my post (for false info). However you seem to have taken it personally with your little comment at the end there. Sorry I'm not up to date on a product that I couldn't care less about.

I've read about creating a hackintosh, but then I realized that it's really not worth my time or trouble. I don't want it that badly.

That would have been before OS X, so I can imagine you would have had more problems.
