Default Writing in your journal about social anxiety?

Does anybody do this?
What do you write about?

I used to do CBT thought records, not sure if you consider that writing in my journal.

You basically think of a situation that makes you anxious, then write down why (i.e. thoughts) it makes you anxious. After that, you identify all the cognitive distortions in your thoughts and you try to "correct" them.

Also, sometimes when I feel frustrated or depressed, I just open Word and start rambling. It sounds weird but it actually helps. Usually when the thoughts are in my head, I blow it out of proportion and it feels like it's the end of the world. But when I transfer those thoughts into something concrete I realize that I was being overdramatic.

F0r myself, writing has been my place 0f the m0st
C0mf0rtable, Uninhibited and Fearless means f0r expressi0n I thrive t0 gr0wn fr0m.

My first diary was the Greatest Birthday gift I received ar0und age 9 0r 1o.
I t00k quickly t0 writing h0w I felt and What my day was like.... add a little 0f this a little 0f that
Bef0re long, I had n0te b00ks and n0te b00ks full.... give 0r take ar0und 2o.

Certain expressi0ns I felt s0 Cl0se with, I am a Very deep pers0n
I like t0 feel that I truly d0 understand and T0 feel that I am truly Underst00d.

I typically end 0f thinking 0f/ab0ut a situati0n 0r anything my brain expl0res. Then I'm grabbing f0r s0mething t0 write 0n and s0me kinda writing utensil. N0 preference here, I have napkins (they were clean) with my scribbles. I have used eyeliner and lipstick, y0u kn0w the usual!

S0 n0w, I always carry the imperative requirements necessary.... cause I just d0n't sit d0wn and think "0kay...N0w write s0mething"

Attempting t0 rein my tendencies f0r Rambling........

I cl0se my eyes and 0pen my mind
I changed my mind and my mind changed me

-Peace- L0ve- Happiness-
and Keep Writing

I do the same thing especially when I've been drinking I save the word docs and read them later on its interesting to see how my thoughts have changed.

I also write a journal about the negative thoughts I remember having that day then write a rational counter statement to the negative thoughts. I also write down the positive things that happened to me that day eg. little victories I had over SA. I have not been doing it long so I don't know about the long term effects but I know when I'm writing it makes me feel better and more energized.
