I'm downloading these and will give them a try. I'm waiting for my next therapy appointment to see if I can get on the waiting list for a CBT group. While I wait for the day when I finally get the therapy that helps me out of this rut, I'm willing to try anything to make some small improvement to my life. Here's hoping...

From my understanding, the more programs you listen to at one time, the longer it will take to feel the effects...
Which is a shame, because I think I need all the programs! I bought myself a 5-CD player, so right now I'm listening to the Social Anxiety CDs, the Eating CD, and I'm going to add the Self-Esteem CDs...and when I'm feeling down, I read the success stories... These tapes are truly a blessing and God-send... |

lol yea it does get annoying after a while. She always sounds so happy and carefree, completely opposite of me. But I think in order for it to work you have to really believe it or ingrain those ideas into your head as your own thoughts. Just listening to someone else say things isnt really gonna help. Ive been doing it for a month or so, not sure if my improvement is from this or not because ive also been doing Dr. Richard's CBT therapy along with it. I guess it can't hurt, but sometimes I'd rather listen to music, especially at the gym.

ive heard a lot of people say that they find the cds really boring and repetetive cos you just have to lie there and listen to this woman over and over again personally though i enjoy listening to them cos i find it really relaxing. its almost like taking a dailly siesta/nap for me. i lie on my bed, put the headfones in and listen to the soothing music. i focus on how confortable and warm i am and this seems to work in making it an enjoyable relaxation session instead of boring torture habing to listen to some woman usually i nod off too. just focus on how soothing the music is, how warm and confy you feel and you should start to enjoy it |

remeber the whole point of thinkrightnow is uncocnious learning. you are not taking in the statemtns , your uncconicous mind is . you could sit there conciously saying to yourself '' o this is all a load of bull, i dont beleive a word of it'' and it wouldnt make any difference cos your unconcious mind is listening to it and accepting it regardless of what the concious mind is saying . the uncious mind accepts everything you tell it cos it doesnt know right from wrong true from false, it accepts everything you tell it as fact its a different story when conciously repeating affirmations to yourself by reading them of a piece of paper. in this scenario its all cocnious therefore you must beelive what you are saying but with listening to the cd its all uncocnious so nothing is required on your behalf, you dont have to beleive anything the woman says on the cd |

i had the same problem, i couldnt relax while listening to thinkrightnow(the relaxation session isnt for me i think....) so i started to meditate with Holosync(also avaiable on torrent, but choose the flac files - not mp3) before listening to thinkrightnow. That was amazing, from that it became really pleasant listening to the CD`s. And it is best to listen while relaxing with your eyes closed(for me before sleeping seems the most powerfull way, and the changes maintain during the next day). Listening while doing other things is also a way, but its really boring and annoying. You must say to yourself "thats only background" and ignore it, thats the way im doing it. @ redefine: i can only talk about the Real Self Esteem Now. I used it for 4 months and it was great, you cant imagine how much better you feel about yourself and how other people treat you when you use it as directed.(while relaxing, at night) I had the feeling that i looked really nice and attractive, i smiled myself in the mirror (not in a narcistic way...) and it felt naturally to me. I also get a lot less self concious´and girls starts to make compliments ![]() It also cured me from lovesickness, learning disabillity, laziness and more... BUT when it comes to communication i was nervous and didnt know what to say, even though i could hold on eye contact, i didnt know what to say and get tired. I think if you want to gain real self esteem than use "Real Self Esteem" along with "conquering social anxiety" or "dissolving panic and anxiety" to gain the complete cure. warm regards tobi |
