Default The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook

pick this up and read it whenever you have time. (lol ive probably read it 3 times alone from just sitting in the bathroom over the past year) the information is easy to understand and is a great introductory to learning more about types of anxiety, types of medications, medicinal uses, cbt, symptoms, triggers, etc. it has quite a bit of detail. it also has a workbook within it. i myself didnt use the workbook parts, but after giving this book to my older sister who also has sa, she has told me that the workbook parts have helped her. in my opinion and personal experience with this book, alls i can say is i cant even imagine where i'd be in my life without reading it.

usually can be picked up at major book stores for a little over $20usd brand new. i give it a (5 out of 5)

btw, is there anyone else who has read this book? if so, what were your thoughts?

There are other threads here that talk about it. You can check it out.

I think it's decent but at the same time I believe it isn't the best book for social phobia. It doesn't talk about subtle avoidance/safety behaviors and doesn't mention behavioral experiments nor shame-attacking exercise. I think the chapter on social anxiety in The Feeling Good Handbook by David D Burns, MD and the Shyness and Social Anxiety Workbook by Antony PhD and Swinson MD are probably better.
