Default "Painfully Shy: how to overcome social anxiety and reclaim your life"

I just searched my town's public library's database on their website for books on SA and "Painfully Shy" by Barbara Markway sounded to be the most helpful to me (but I'm judging by the titles, so..). Has anybody read this? Is it helpful at all?

The other books they have are:
Helping your anxious child: a step-by-step guide for parents. The authors name is not provided (I'm not my parent so I wasn't sure if this would help any)

Anxiety disorders (my second choice by first glance) by Sucheta Connolly.

Overcoming crystal meth addiction: an essential guide to getting clean (lol, what?)

Anyways, any suggestions/tips would be great. Thanks

i have that book and im not impressed at all

the best books on sa are overcoming sa and shyness by gillian butler , and the shyness and social anxiety workbook by richard p swinson.

even if your libary doesnt have those books they can usually order them for you for about 80p per book.

i ordered some albert ellis books and they turned up. his books were written years ago so im sure your libabry would have no difficulty in finding modern books like the 2 i suggested

thanks for your help, everyone. I'll definitely look into those suggestions. I'm about to check out the PDF version that TheWhiteGorilla posted but I'll take your words for it that it's not helpful. Thanks anyways =)

Try also books by John Bradhaw on the subject of the Inner Child, and books on REBT by Windy Dryden, particularly "Ten Steps To Positive Living."
