Default Overcoming procrastination book

http://www.amazon.com/Procrastinatio...5434225&sr=8-1

Just finished reading this and its an awesome book. It really explains what procrastination is and not just simply being "lazy." I found SA and procrastination are closely related and have overlapping thinking patterns. It goes into detail about how people are raised and categorizes the type of procrastinators and how they most likely got it. Its approach to fixing procrastination is similar to CBT. The book reminded me of overcoming social anxiety by gillian butler. So if you liked that book I think you'll like this one. I still procrastinate of course but I have better tools now. I actually studied throughout my whole 1 course.

I might check it out. Procrastination is really killing me this semester. I just hope I can pull off another semester without failing any classes. For two of my classes it is not looking very good.

I have a lot of respect for anyone who has a strong work ethic (& doesn't procrastinate). It is something I am trying to develop in myself but it is hard.

I've listened to the audio version of "Eat That Frog" from Brian Tracy about 4 or 5 times now. I recommend it.

True enough.
Success is all about getting things done.
And if you're not doing anything, you'll never produce the results
you want in your life.

Procrastination is the number one killer of all successes.
As long as you take the necessary action, you will definitely receive results
from it. No matter it is a positive result or a negative result, you will
somehow get something.

I will definitely keep an eye on this book.
Thanks for sharing.

I won't say it was a life changer but an small eye opener. It added to my perspective on why I procrastinate and I feel I am in more control now. It's mainly the CBT approach I like. I'm actually excited for school and see how I will do now when i return. Not sure if it's the book or lack of responsbilities lately. But the one course I did take while reading the book, was my first time I actually studied hard and through out the course.

I haven't really had a chance to apply all the techniques, especially time mangament, as I haven't had any real obligation for awhile. But that might be procrastination right there lol. I don't want to put too much hope into this book. But I think unless you agree with CBT, it is not as helpful.

Has anyone read it yet? So many procrastinators posted but no responses. I recommended it to my other procrastinating friends, but none of them have gotten past the first chapter.
