That's the workbook I saw, I'm thinking about getting it too. It would be wonderful if it would help!

The one I read wasn't a work book but it helped out a bit. It's called My Kind of Sad

I've been thinking about buying this book also. I'm trying to decide if I should buy this one or a book for depression, or buy Dr. Richards CD's.
Let us know how much you improve after using this workbook. How much work does it require? And how bad was your SA when you first started it? |

I have that book-- I got it when it first came out. I've read it many many times. I've filled out most of the questions and charts.
It hasn't actually helped me yet, but I can't even spend time in my own living room because I'm afraid someone will see my shadow through the blinds/curtains (I've gotten better, I can now go through the living room [with the lights off] if I need to, but I still "hide" in my room most of the day). I think it has the potential to be an extremely helpful book if I would just actually do the exercises. I'm glad it's helping you so far. Have you tried any of the other workbooks or self-help books? I think this one ('The Shyness & Social Anxiety Workbook: Proven, Step-by-Step Techniques for Overcoming Your Fear' by Martin M. Antony and Richard P. Swinson) is the best. Good luck. |
