Unhappy Has anyone tried this device that says it cures Anxiety?

Hi everyone, like all of you I'm at my last wit and cannot take dealing with SA any longer. SA is ruining my life. I'm trying the Linden Method but Im still suffering... EVERYDAY. I need something quick, something that will stop ruining the quality of my life, how I interact with other people. I always seemed angered... Im always tense. That is when I did more research online and found this device that claims to cure Anxiety and other things like OCD, imsomnia, etc. It's called the Mad-1 device. I just wanted to know if anyone has tried it and does it really do what it claims. I just ordered mine yesterday, cuz I had lost hope in other things...

Here is the website: http://www.mad-1.com/Anxiety.htm

Just my 2 cents but if something claims to be a 'cure all' (and from what I read on their site, that's pretty much what they seem to be claiming...), there's a good chance that it's a scam.

But, for what it's worth, I really do hope that it works for you

One MAD-1 can be all that you need to treat mild anxiety or irritability. However, if the symptoms are more severe or numerous then you will need to use two or four devices.
Looks like rubbish to me but I really do hope it isn't. Cause then I'm buying one, lol.

How many did you buy may I ask?

I'm shocked. At least that device can't be any more worthless.

Hey I bought the one that comes in 2 - the two devices with the strap. I REALLY hope this works cuz if it doesn't I'm literally going to kick the next dog I see to the curb!

It was working for me at the very beginning... at that time I was not going outside and being exposed to people where all my anxieties lay. But after a while I was like is this for real? THis must be temporary "Good" feeling - thats when all my fears and worries came back... and so even as I continued the program there has been no new changes... I havent felt "normal" again...

Probably a placebo effect.

Dear Prettyinside.

My 14 year old daughter suffers very badly from anxiety, used to have awful panic attacks, now more or less permanent low level anxiety with plenty of social phobia, phobias in general and now the beginnings of ocd. She is seeing a psychologist and that helps but the anxiety is always there and morphs into new situations. I too saw the advertisment for MAD-1 (bad name!) and will get it for her if it works. Would very much appreciate ANY FEEDBACK. Also what is the Linden Method, saw that and wondered, is it Cognitive Behavioral Therapy on a cassette? I would so like to help my daughter so any useful advice would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks,

emma

Sure I'd be happy to provide feedback about the Mad-1 device (still waiting 4 it in the mail!!) --> I too don't like the name!!!
But the Linden Method came on CDs for me and yes it is CBT but it's called the Linden's Method - because its his own version of CBT.

I hope that helps!!

Update: (Like I promised!) -
I got my package today in the mail. I used it for 30 min before I took an afternoon nap and I'm just waking up... I feel very relaxed and all. Plus I think it also helped me sleep- I started dreaming within 10 min. When I had put the device on my hand, I felt an instant tingling sensation. Like there were invisible energies going through my hand. SO I'll try it again tommorrow before i go out for social anxiety, and offer more feedback.

Hi Prettyinside,

I want to order the MAD_1. I have suffered with Anxietys, panic disorder and now they have me on Bi-polar meds. I have been on Countless SSRI's over the years all with bad side effects getting on and off. Now my docs wants to put me on ADHD meds also. I am sick of being a guinea pig and trying different drugs all the time I want a more natural cure to help. When I found the site for MAD-1 ( yes terrible name) I thought it has to be to good to be true. I PRAY ITS NOT!! Can you please provide more feedback I want to get the 4 pack but want to see how your doing on it. Thanks a Bunch, Lisa

Dear Prettyinside,

Just thought I would let you know that I sent the makers of MAD-1 an email asking them if there was any clinical evidence to support the claims they made. The information they supply is pretty convincing but I was aware that I was in susceptive condition (desperate for a miracle etc), they said it was new etc, but if it does what it says then at some point it will need a scientific independent overview. Anyway, just thought my initial posting on rereading needed a bit more info.
good luck

Hey Guys & Girls,

Yes from that you can tell I don't have such good news. Im crying right now... broken inside - about how my events went today. I was so tense, anxious - the same as before - the device didnt work for me. Or I used it wronG? I don't know, but it didnt work for me... I feel so helpless... this is too much for me, i can't live my life the way I want it - like other people, so free and relaxed without being so jittery and tense all the times.
