Default Um small task tommorow

I dunno if this is the right section, or if this is really stupid, but I have been putting off going to get a hair cut for over a month now. For a long time I have been getting my hair cut from a family friend, didnt have to pay and it was only about a 3 on the akward 10 scale, but then she moved and I havent gone to get a haircut since, that was probly 3 months ago and my hair is waay too long. I just really hate going, it makes me very uncomfortable, I dunno just going and sitting down with some stranger messing with your head, for 15 20 minutes, making pointless small talk, ugg.
Sorry if this is ridiculous, I just feel like if I post it here theres a better chance I will go do it.

I don't think it's ridiculous, as I hate getting my hair cut as well. *hate* it. and my hair grows ridiculously fast.

The whole thing is a chore. having to sit there forever, waiting for them to finally get around to the cutting, chatting endlessly with their coworkers about whose kid did what, where they live, yada yada yada. I'm deaf in one ear, so I can't hear them anyway, but have to pretend like I do, in order not to seem rude. Sometimes I just switch off the hearing aid....heh heh (been going deaf since I was 25).

On the other hand, it's a good exposure exercise.

I agree. It's a horrible experience.

Well I just got back from the mall, I went to the haircut place I used to go to so it was familar but they were all booked up, I was actually relived but then I figured id just have to do it tomorrow anyway. So I went to this other haircut place in the mall, full of gorgeous girls my age, walked right past the first time, but then I turned around and went back, remembering I have to keep pushing my comfort zone, so I went in and made an appointment with this really nice girl at the til, but then some other girl ended up cutting my hair, she was really good looking but pretty rude. She noticed that I had tape on my glasses and she laughed at me and said to get a new pair, I replied that she had gum on her shoe.. She finished my haircut in silence and I left. Overall it wasnt easy by any means but it could have been worse, I am proud of myself for going in to a work place full of hot girls, as sad as that may sound lol..
