Good for you Delicate, finding a place of your own is a massive positive step.
I wish I had the courage to do the same, I still live in the family home (alone now, everyone else has gone or moved on), but my mum owns it and it doesn't feel like I belong here any longer. I keep thinking about getting a flat, but put myself off worrying about where to go (I don't feel like I belong anywhere), are bills included in the rent, or do you pay for them seperately?, and having to talk to a letting agent makes me anxious. I hope you find a great place to live |

I've only got as far as looking at ads so who knows. It's complicated I don't know how far I'll get I'll have to get some help from someone but I think I'll feel alot stronger... in time... if I have my own place. I also don't feel like I belong anywhere I was looking at some places today that have alot of flats and they're all a bit out of everything it'd get a bit lonely. That's why I'd prefer somewhere in the city centre because there are people around and I know the area somewhat but it's the price. At least you still have your own place sort of, it's more independence than alot of people but if you want something more you should go for it.

I'm sure you'll find somewhere nice, Delicate.
For the majority of the time I have got my own independence, but it still feels bad that I live in my mum's house (especially as she still sees it as her house even though she doesn't live here - she comes round in the day when i'm at work and does things around the house - fair enough seeing as its her house, but it feels like i'm a stranger in a house that used to be my own, but that i've now outstayed my welcome. I think all of that makes sense I'm sure I will go out and find my own place before long. I can feel the seeds of the desire to move forming in my mind and am thinking about it more and more. I just need to push myself to do it. Good luck with your flat-search. I hope you find somewhere really nice |
