Double Posting?

I'm just curious if the board has a policy on double posting...if it counts as spam?

I'm just curious if the board has a policy on double posting...if it counts as spam?

I've noticed a huge increase in the number of double postings in threads. Usually the poster has an afterthought. Or they make their first post as a general reply to thread then also post straight after a reply directed towards someone rather than just editing original post and putting in quotes.

Double posting on other forums I frequent is generally a big no no but occurs accidentally and admins will instantly cull these posts.

The only time I think it would perhaps be acceptable is if the original poster wanted to bump their own thread perhaps to update it, otherwise putting up two posts one after the other within a few minutes is blatant spam.

Thoughts from posters and mods would be appreciated. This isn't directed at any one person in particular, just something I've noticed as a general trend.

Having never used this forum until today, I guess I was unclear on how this works.

If one is unable to view one's post and subsequent replies after one submits it, how does one know what the progress, if any, is on the subject at hand? I understand it was to give some privacy to these threads but if the person who posts it cannot even view it, how does it work? Is it just to vent?

Ok, so after a heated discussion and a closed thread, I am still having problems with this particular poster. He follows me around and antagonizes me in different threads, in his signature, etc, and I have enough of it! This guy is still bitter about the closed thread, and his childish remarks are becoming antagonistic.

Is there anyway I can put this user on ignore, or can a moderator please give him a warning?

http://www.socialanxietysupport.com/...3/#post1097851
It's the one and only post from a new member, serving nothing more than to promote the member's business. If it were up to me, you would block this member entirely.

Thanks!

(By the way, why is it so difficult for me to find a way to report forum abuse? Some forums display a link on every post for this purpose. I can't even find on this site such a link on any forum page.)
