I was reading the thread about the correlation between low amounts of dopamine and S.A. And there was a video link to a documentary about people with a musical gifts caused by mental disorders. One such guy has tourette's syndrome which they said is caused by increased dopamine. In one point in the documentary he is put in grand central station and his tourette's began to act up.
What really grab my attention was that he took notice of all the stimuli around him he took notice to just about everything that was going on and it was driving him nuts. And that in particular reminded me about the way I get around people sometimes, how I analyze everyone around me, their facial expressions, stance, movement, body language, interaction with one another and how I can't seem to stop it unless I'm distracted something.
Now I know that people with SA have lower dopamine; but if you also have APD does those moments of increased mental activity stem from increased dopamine?
