The main reason I post this is because I'm curious if SAers tend to lean one way or the other. My guess is that it will be pretty even, but who knows...
Strong Democrat. The only time I would ever split with the Democratic party would be if there was a strong socialist candidate, which will probably never happen.
I would love to vote republican, but even the maverick of the party, can't accept certain things that I hold as fundamental. Basically, philosophically I believe in republican ideals but when it comes to the issues, they let me down. To me it comes down to neither party actually voting for what their stated beliefs are. Thats why a two party system sucks for lack of a better word or lack of wanting to use a better word.
Any one that says they have a strong belief in one of two of the parties, to me proves the system has failed. I would never say I support one of these parties strongly. I see way to many people walk the party line as they say to support such a system.
I'm registered as an independent but I consider more conservative than liberal so I always vote Republican. I chose leaning Republican because I don't fit in with the far right religous zealots.
I would characterize myself as an independent more than anything else. I focus on the candidate, not their party, and
the pressing issues around election time.
Would you say most people on the forum vote democrat because they're SA or because the type of people who are usually online are more likely to vote for Obama? and they're online, that's why they can post? Personally i vote republican. But I registered independent because i don't want McCain asking me for money. He should feel lucky he's getting my vote.
I've heard that in South Carolina, you can vote for whoever you want in the primaries.
In most other states, in the primaries, you can only vote for a candidate party that you're registered with. In the main election, obviously, you can vote for any of the running candidates, regardless of party.
Anyway, as for me, I almost always vote Republican.
I think that most Republican politicians are scumbags.
The fact that I vote for them should tell you what I think of most Democratic politicians.
i dont belong to any party. they all have vies that i both agree and disagree with so why restrict myself
