I've been in that situation for the last 4 years or so. I cannot remember what was before then, anyways. Every single year goes like this: "get to know someone in december, alienate them by may, be completely alone during the summer, evaluate with some people who don't actually care or cannot help about it, repeat". I've had that cycle for a while now. I think it's ridiculous.
