To take some of the pressure off of yourself, just remind yourself that since it is a beach, there are dozens of "escape routes" if the pressure gets too high - go off on your own or with bf for a walk, to suntan, or go for a swim, none of which would seem unusual to the others. On this forum, we normally don't advocate fleeing a stressful situation, because it just reinforces the SA fight-or-flight reflex, but it (the flight reflex, not the fight reflex!) might be a good coping strategy for you this time.

. I was so blinded with the fact of meeting his family that I forgot its a beach and I dont have to be around them the whole time, which gives me the excuse to escape when im feeling anxious without it looking weird. Great advice, thanks!
